ALEX OTTI HAILS VICTOR OYE ON HIS SUPREME COURT VICTORY

Abia State governorship hopeful, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has hailed the victory of Chief Victor Ike Oye as the authentic National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

Otti who flew the APGA flag in the 2015 governorship election in Abia State, said that the judgement came to him as “a tacit and implicit endorsement of Chief Victor Oye’s assertion that APGA is indeed, the last hope of Nd’Igbo in national politics”.

He also stated that it is the fuel needed by the “indefatigable National Chairman to lead the party to greater heights and electoral victory in the forthcoming 2019 elections”.

He also congratulated the party’s “BOT Chairman and National Leader, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano, the BOT, NEC, NWC as well as the APGA leadership at all levels, for the monumental victory”.

Justice Sidi Bage who delivered the lead judgment of the apex court, on Friday July 13th, had dismissed the two appeals filed by a faction of the party led by Chief Martin Agbaso and Mike Alioke against Oye for ‎lacking in merit.

The Supreme Court upheld the judgment of the Enugu Division of the Court of Appeal, which reinstated Dr. Victor Oye as the authentic National Chairman of the party.

Other Justices of the Supreme Court on the panel include Justices Bode Rhodes- Vivour; Mary Odili and Inyang Okoro.

The Enugu Division of the Court of Appeal had on August 10, 2017, upturned the judgement of an Enugu State High Court that sacked Victor Oye as the National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
